Disempowerment, marginalization and exploitation of large majorities of people for power, profit and pleasure are perhaps the most common and conspicuous features of our generation. Certain oppressive structures and detrimental cultures continue to sustain and legitimize such injustice and exploitation in many forms. Seeking equity, dignity, and freedom for all is an indication of and pathway for genuine human progress. Such an understanding of justice is pivotal to the affirmation and practice of Christian faith. TEM accompanies and participates in all such initiatives.
